An HTML editor for the Amiga

History of webPlug

Just for curiosity, a little history list:

v1.45
Basically a bug fixing version, although I've rewritten the translation function, making it faster and more powerfull.
v1.4
Switched to Allan Odgaard's TextEditor for textediting.
Added the *experimental* plugin API. Some (ones usefull., others not) sample plugins are included.
Frames support
Moved PopColor to an external class (.mcc), so that plugins can make use of it.
Added the Find/Replace functions Lots of other changes.
v1.3 (This version was never released)
Handles any number of documents
Use of Allan's BetterString
Save All option
v1.25
Another minor update
webPlug can handle up to 10 documents at a time
v1.21
Minor update, minor changes, minor new features :-)
v1.2
A couple of minor bugs corrected
webPlug uses a couple of v37+ only functions.
Sped up tag insertion
Drag'n'drop for some operations.
CustomTagList.
CustomStringList (with d'n'd to stringgadgets).
Load HTML/Text (same for Include and Save as).
Arguments for the browser.
MultiView's BrowserLink.
Voyager's BrowserLink.
A simple Find function.
v1.1
A couple of bugs corrected.
Editor's font user-configurable.
Can handle up to 5 documents.
Added Mark/Goto locations.
New Include menu.
New browser window.
Some editor settings.
Relative font sizes.
Lots of small internal/external changes.
v1.0
First public release. Uploaded to Aminet
v0.115:
Last betaversion. Localized. BrowserLinks for IBrowse, AWeb and Amosaic
Some silly bugs killed, a non-silly bug killed.
Started writing docs, installers, catalogs, drawing icons...
v0.110:
OK. Left EdLinks: webPlug uses an internal text-editor, based on the Textfield.gadget by Mark Thomas (hey, have you changed your e-mail address ?!?).
Sent again to some betatesters. A least, webPlug seems stable.
v0.7/0.9:
Second beta sent to betatesters. Still some crashings (why ?).
First NewIcon icon drawn (well, first and last).
0.84 is the first beta that includes BrowserLinks.
Frames button gone with the wind.
v0.4/0.7:
webPlug starts growing. Still uses EdLinks to control text-editors via Rexx. Still includes the Frames button.
v0.3:
New name: webPlug (better ?)
Switched to MUI. Images for buttons instead of text.
The translation option starts working (more or less).
First beta sent to a betatester (who suffered a lot of crashes...:-( ).
v0.0/0.2:
Program's name was HTMLPlug.
No MUI, yet. Using EasyGUI instead.
No internal editor. Uses EdLinks, to communicate to text editors.
Datatypes code works.
